NESS ‘SEA’mester Homeschool students spent the month of September studying Ocean Literacy Principle #6: The ocean and humans are inextricably interconnected!

These students investigated how the ocean is a source of inspiration, knowledge, and discovery while focusing on the connections between humans and the ocean. Throughout the month, they had the opportunity to sail on a Sonar, kayak through the Stonington Harbor watershed, and discover how researching the ocean can contribute to the protection and preservation of our environment. This hands-on and immersive educational experience allowed our students to deepen their understanding of the vital relationship between humanity and the ocean!
