To ensure that NESS’s programs are accessible to all, regardless of an individual’s means, NESS provides scholarships for participants in its various programs who demonstrate financial need. NESS will make every reasonable effort to include those who want to participate in NESS’s programs and have demonstrated financial need. Decisions regarding the granting of a scholarship will be made by NESS’s Scholarship Committee in its sole discretion.

C.D. Mallory Sailing Scholarship

Each May, a distribution will be made to enable financially disadvantaged children to participate in NESS sailing programs. The NESS Scholarship Committee will make a selection based on the individual’s passion for life on and around the sea, as well as C. D. Mallory’s qualities of quiet but steadfast leadership, kindness, humor, teamwork, sportsmanship, loyalty, and confidence to follow his or her own path in life to make a difference in others.
