Spring Open House for Educators

Discover what NESS is all about and enjoy time on the water! Travel around to different stations experiencing what NESS can offer you and your students. Build a model land sailor, navigate a ROV, skipper a sailboat, and paddle your own kayak in an open house just for educators and their families! This event is free to educators and registration is required.

NOW BOOKING Fall Term Field Expeditions

Work with us to customize your own field expedition program and meet your students’ learning needs. Coordinate our programs with your curriculum by selecting from various marine science, adventure sports, and/or sailing options.

Utilize our unique waterfront and facility, the marine science lab and/or our extensive fleet of watercraft to create your own exciting, engaging, and hands-on ocean adventure program. NESS can accommodate up to 60 students!

Crayfish in Norwich

Our students found this CRAYFISH while kick netting! Kick netting is the process of holding a net downstream and agitating sediment to let macroinvertebrates follow the stream into the net!
