Tuesday, July 11th marked the official start of the local regatta season for NESS!  Although NESS sailors have already been competing in other events, this was the first official team event.

7 Red, White, and Blue Opti sailors and 6 Green Fleet sailors competed in the Ram Island Yacht Club Austin LaFrance Regatta on Tuesday.  With windy conditions all around, the team took 3 of the top 4 spots in R/W/B, with Abby Wiatrowski winning the event and tiebreaker over Ainslie Zagol, who both ended with 9 points for 1st and 2nd place. Vicki VanBerkel finished 4^th.

In green fleet, the team took 3 of the top 4 spots, with Wes Maxwell taking the win, Liam Maxwell in 2^nd, and Mini Streeter in 4^th.
