We have exciting ocean adventure programs planned for you this summer and we can’t wait to get back on the water with you! Mark your calendars for February 1^st – we will be opening registration for summer camp, adult sailing, and other fun programs for the whole family! Whether you’re able to join us for a day or all summer long, we have a program for you. Keep reading for a preview of what is to come!

Summer Camp

Open to students ages 4 to 17 NESS summer camp provides exciting and educational camps all summer long! We have 10 weeks of summer camp including brand new marine science programs, sailing, and adventure sports! Morning and afternoon sessions will be available, however there will be no supervised lunch in between. Join us as we sail, surf, snorkel, fish – and more!

NESS New London Community Boating

NESS New London Community Boating (NESS NLCB) engages students in immersive summer learning. Working with schools and community partner organizations, our goal is to provide sailing opportunities to the youth of New London to encourage life-long learning, a healthy and active summer, and stewardship of their environment and community.

Westerly Ocean Adventures

Our Westerly Ocean Adventures offers some of your favorite NESS activities as one-day programs. Students ages 5-12 can join us at our location on Atlantic Avenue in Misquamicut for kayaking, fishing, snorkeling, and ocean exploration! Family Expeditions

Have you ever wished you could join your child at NESS summer camp? Well, here is your chance! Every Saturday and Sunday throughout the summer we are providing NESS adventures for the whole family! Join our experienced educators for fishing trips, boogie boarding, and snorkeling at locations all around Long Island Sound. These programs are suitable for ages 4 and up.

Adult Sailing

Whether you are a complete beginner or a skilled sailor, we want to get you out on the water! This summer we are offering our Adult Learn to Sail and Adult Intermediate Sailing classes, as well as private lessons. For advanced sailors we have foiling lessons available on our WASZPs! Qualifying sailors may also rent our J22 and 23’ Sonar sailboats.

Harbor Cruises

Grab your friends and hop aboard NESS’s open-air Carolina Skiff for a 90-minute cruise around Stonington Harbor and Long Island Sound! Experience the beauty of the natural environment and see historic Stonington Borough from a whole new angle! Our knowledgeable and entertaining captains make this an experience not to be missed.
