NESS’s Opti Race Team was out in full force this weekend at the New Bedford Junior Regatta! Six team members traveled to New Bedford, MA with their boats for the regatta. For many, it was their first 2-day, out of state regatta and the team did great. The Championship fleet consisted of 73 sailors from all over New England (and even a few from Canada!) who had two days of great wind. The sailors competed in six races which meant they could drop their highest scoring race. NESS had two sailors finish top 10 in the regatta, Tyler Bergendahl in 8th and Harvey Demovick in 10th. Both teammates posted top 5 in a race during the weekend which was a huge accomplishment. Congratulations to the entire NESS team and their coach Mark “Zorro” Zagol!
