High School Sailing

NESS is proud to host local high school teams from The Williams School and New London Public Schools.

The Williams School varsity sailing team has been sailing out of NESS in Stonington since 2011.  As a member of the New England Schools Sailing Association (NESSA), the team conducts practices and hosts regattas in the spring of each year using NESS’s 420s and facility.

In the fall of 2014, NESS began hosting the newly formed varsity sailing team from the New London High School and the Science and Technology Magnet High School of Southeastern Connecticut.  Using boats donated by Pfizer and dock space donated by Mitchell College, the new team practiced after school and attended regattas where they competed against other NESSA teams.  NESS Sailing Program Director Mark Zagol coached the team in its inaugural year.

With both 420s and FJs we would love to help get your team out on the water.   For more information please contact Mark Zagol, NESS Sailing Program Director.
